Located in Kidwelly, Spudders Bridge Equestrian is a small, family owned yard offering a variety of livery services.

Spudders Bridge Equestrian opened in March 2019 following the Scicluna family’s relocation from Berkshire to South Wales. Having owned and taken care of horses for many generations, horsemanship is in our blood and the opening of Spudders Bridge Equestrian is the result of many years of planning and hard work.

Spudders Bridge Equestrian is ideally located on the B4308 between Llanelli and Kidwelly, in the county of Carmarthenshire. It is 6 miles from Llanelli and 13 miles from Carmarthen. It is close to Pembrey Country Park and the Millennium Coastal Park.

Owners live on site and for peace of mind CCTV has been installed throughout the premise.

It’s American Barn stabling is modern, airy and light and all stables are larger than average to ensure comfort for our liveries.

We provide year round turnout in small groups within well maintained fields which have lovely natural shelter.

To ensure that all of our liveries items are stored away safe and secure, we have invested in extra wide 2 saddle tack lockers.

The arena is a mix of sand and fibre and is regularly harrowed and the banks taken down to ensure a soft and level schooling surface.

About

Brenda Scicluna is the daughter of a dressage instructor mother and father who grew up on farms. As a result of this, she sat on horses before she could walk. Being initially focused on jumping, Brenda’s focus has now turned to dressage and she can regularly be seen out competing.

Andy Scicluna is Brenda’s long suffering husband who enjoys animal husbandry but not the long waiting around at competitions! He happily mucks in (literally!) and is a great help around the yard. Being a local photographer, he is always up for a horsey photoshoot.
